Frequently Asked Questions
How many sources can I load at once?
The number of source files you are permitted to load varies with your subscription level. See our Subscriptions page for more details.
Do I have to load more than one file?
No. You can load one file, and we will identify duplicates within the file for you. Depending on the size of your file, this service may be free!
What happens to my data?
Your data is still your data. Our service matches and integrates your data to make it easier for you to work with. We take data security very seriously at RecordMatch. We’ll never sell or share your data. We do not retain any data past our service period with you. You control what you send, and we’ll remove your data from our system at your request any time.
How does it work?
RecordMatch.io uses a proprietary algorithm to match and integrate your data. We know it works because we’ve been using it for our satisfied customers for years. For enterprise customers, it can also be customized to meet your specific needs.
What is a “Golden Record”?
This is the unique record for a single entity that is the result of combining the information in all your files, based on the matching rules we’ve identified. For example, if your data includes a phone number for an entity from one source and an email address from another, the Golden Record will contain both of these pieces of information for the entity within one record. You can use our tried and tested rules, working with our pre-set formats, or we’ll work with you to customize the rules to your specific data needs.
What are Key fields?
These are the fields the matching engine uses to identify matches. They have been highlighted on the preset formats, and we will work with you to identify them within a custom format. Essentially, they are what the logic engine will use to match between the files you’re loading. In order to get the best result they should be as complete and accurate as possible.
